In Between Seasons: how the book was born
The beginning that wasn't planned — it was obeyed
This book wasn't born from a plan. It was born from a voice.
October 2025. I was home, alone, just days away from starting the sixth cycle of white chemotherapy. My body already carried the weight of two simultaneous diagnoses: breast cancer and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. And still, there was something inside me that couldn't wait.
Weeks before, I had taken a class about how to write a book, publish on Amazon and turn pain into story. And something inside me lit up. I realized that what I was living could make a difference in the lives of other women. That my pain didn't have to stay locked inside me.
But it was on an ordinary day, sitting in front of the computer, that everything changed.
I heard an inner voice, clear and gentle: I need you to write now.
I didn't fully understand. But I obeyed.
I sat down intending to write four chapters. I wrote nine.
There were hours when the words simply came, as if they were already ready inside me, waiting for permission to come out. Each paragraph was born between tears and faith, in the small hours when the body screamed and the soul stayed silent. When I had to surrender completely to God to keep going.
The release date was November 1st, 2025. I had only a few days to learn how to publish on Amazon, format everything, understand the platforms. And that's what I did. On 11/01, the book was official. After the longest 72 hours of my life, waiting for Amazon to make it available, In Between Seasons was in the world.
More than a book, it is a living testimony. That even in the deepest pain, there is beauty in the process. That faith is able to rebuild what seemed lost. That when God says now, it is worth obeying.
Today I keep adjusting this first volume and I already carry two more in my heart, to form a trilogy. Because this story isn't over yet. It's still being written.
And maybe yours is too.
